Mulled Cider

Mulled Cider – serves 6-8 people

  • 1L cloudy apple juice
  • 1 cup Scotch or favourite whiskey
  • 2 cinnamon sticks
  • Peel of 1 orange
  • 10 whole cloves
  • 4 Star anise
  • ½ tsp nutmeg
  • Garnish: Cinnamon stick, Apple slice


Combine ingredients in sauce pan and stir occasionally as you bring the mixture to a soft boil. Simmer 1 min and serve in a coffee mug garnished with an apple slice and cinnamon stick.

Tip: Mixture can be made in advance and kept warm on stove top to serve as guests arrive.
