Mulled Wine

Mulled Wine – serves 6-8 people

  • 1 bottle(750 ml) of Shiraz or dry red wine
  • ¼ cup brandy
  • 1 orange cut in half, then sliced
  • ¼ cup honey
  • 2 cinnamon sticks
  • 10 whole cloves
  • 4 star anise
  • ½ tsp nutmeg
  • ½ tsp all spice


Combine ingredients in sauce pan and stir occasionally as you bring the mixture to a soft boil. Simmer 1 min and serve in a coffee mug garnished with a cinnamon stick and orange slice from pot.

Tip: Mixture can be made in advance and kept warm on stove top to serve as guests arrive.
